Slatted Window Blinds

Laser Blocking and X-ray proof Hospital Windows
Lasermet’s laser blocking slatted window blinds are ideal for use in operating theaters and are effective in blocking all medical lasers. There is also an option for X-ray proof vision panels.
  • Tested to IEC 60825-4 Safety of Laser Products, Part 4: Laser Guards
  • Standard or flush-fit versions available

This professional, highly effective laser blocking system fits into window and door openings in operating rooms and is tested in compliance with IEC 60825-4, the laser safety standard. It is perfect for hospitals and other facilities where there is a need to prevent laser beams from escaping.

A straightforward lever opens and closes the window’s slats, allowing or preventing the penetration of laser light. The double-sided lever option allows you to activate the blind from either side. In order to keep dust and bacteria out of the slatted blind, the system places 6mm (0.24 inch) of toughened glass in front of it.

The unit can be installed as a standard fit within the door or window aperture or it can be fitted as a flush fit where the surfaces of the unit match those of the aperture edges.

STANDARD FIT

The fully bonded, semi-hermetic standard fit unit makes a tight seal between the glass and the beading possible while doing away with the necessity for an unclean metal housing. It can be placed flat on one side and have a single bead on the other, or centrally across the thickness of the door with a bead on either side. It is made up of three glass panes, two of which have alternating laser-blocking material lines. With the use of a handle, the central glass can be lifted or lowered, causing the lines to shift and providing completely adjustable and discrete visibility through the panel.

FLUSH-FIT

The flush-fit vision panel is made to precisely match the thickness of a door; hence, when installed, the glazing’s surface sits flush with the door faces. It is silicone mastic glued to the door, making it an extremely hygienic detail devoid of ledges or gaps where dirt or bacteria could hide. The flush fit unit is made of four glass panes, two of which include alternating lines of laser blocking material. It is entirely bonded and semi-hermetic.
